Syd Sargis

Sydney is a queer Assyrian-American poet with a BA in Poetry from Columbia College of Chicago. Her work has been published in The Columbia Poetry Review, The Lab Review,  and more. She is the recipient of the 2022 Allen and Lynn Turner Commencement Prize. In 2019, she was chosen to represent Columbia College at the 20th Annual Citywide Undergraduate Poetry Festival. In her spare time, she plays bass for Shotgun Funeral, bartends, & works as a camp director.
